Jay Leno, Isaiah Thomas Have Super Powers

Though we might have seen the last of Isaiah Thomas, there will forever be a lingering scent of the worst decade in New York Knicks history with his name attached. Not only attached but the sole scape goat for the Knicks terrible times including a sexual harassment lawsuit in which Thomas refused to settle, believing in his ways, before getting embarrassed in court and losing millions in the process. That strikingly sounds like what happened to him on the basketball court too. After countless bad signings (Eddy Curry, Jerome James) and trades (Stephon Marbury, Steve Francis) Knicks fans were calling for his removal from the team. Showing up to games with signs, protesting outside Madison Square Garden, Thomas should have been fired years before when he actually was. The only explanation is James Dolan's stupidity (which no one doubts). Thomas obviously has Dolan under a spell. An evil spell that has only recently stopped disappointing fans. After years at the helm, Thomas still hangs around Dolan and the Knicks as an executive advisor. The relationship between Thomas and Dolan reminds me of the relationship between Jay Leno and NBC. After Leno called for his own retirement, he backed out and fucked Conan O'Brien out of the Tonight Show job and NBC let him walk right back into their lives without giving Conan a real chance. Also, when Leno was supposed to be retired he continued to believe in his ways too, making his own new show, The Jay Leno Show, that came on before the Tonight Show and was a unanimous failure. It's funny because Dolan fired the GM, Donnie Walsh, that was brought in to clean up Thomas' mess, and did an excellent job, after re-hiring Thomas as an advisor. Walsh cleared all the wasted cap space, made good draft picks, and wasn't able to finish what he started in New York, just like Conan. Similarly, celebrities and fans alike have been bashing Leno like a piƱata for his ruthless, selfish acts to further his outdated career. Both Leno and Thomas obviously have super powers as they are mega stars that just can't seem to get out of the spotlight even if it is their time, completely control powerful people, and make tons of money while doing a bad job. As much as I hate them and think they have tarnished their legacy, I don't know if I'm more jealous or amazed.

Update: Thomas had to decline the position with the Knicks due to a rule not letting him have it and coach at FIU. You know he's still around though.
