Bets 1/29

Update: Both games stayed competitive and Nowitzki had his best game of the season, until Aldridge ruined it with a last second buzzer beater. Did I call that matchup or what? The Hornets didn't get blown out which is pretty much as good as it gets for them.

Last Night: 2-0

Record: 8-5

Hornets over Lakers

The spread is 8 points in the Lakers favor and while the Lakers have had a recent resurgence, the Hornets have been playing particularly well since Eric Gordon's return. The young legs of New Orleans have nothing to lose against LA, a team that is climbing an uphill battle.

Mavericks over Blazers

Dirk Nowitzki has been getting his legs back and it has helped the Mavs collect more wins, a team also climbing an uphill battle to sneak into the playoffs. The match up between Dirk and LaMarcus Aldridge would probably lean in Portland's star player because Nowitzki is coming back from injury, aging, and probably cares a tad bit less after his legendary playoff performance and championship run. The spread had Portland by 3 so lets see if the Mavs can keep it competitive.
